Download Perry Belcher Criminal Records

perry-belcher-criminal-recordsHere’s a PDF copy of Internet marketer Perry Belcher’s criminal records (without comment by me as an Internet attorney).

It includes:

1. The Criminal Information describing Perry Belcher’s crimes.

2. Perry’s guilty plea and the court order for it.

3. Belcher’s probation order and the special conditions placed on his probation.

To protect Belcher’s privacy, I redacted his street address and telephone number. Otherwise, the documents are intact.

I will not comment on the criminal records as an Internet attorney or otherwise. You can decide for yourself what happened and whether or not Perry Belcher has complied with the terms of his probation.

However,  a final thought…and a warning.

Perry Belcher’s “partner” reached out to a group of major Internet marketers asking for help to shut me (and others) up on this issue.  Pressure was applied by certain group members (who may have been acting on their own) to encourage termination of representation by me as Internet attorney for certain clients or to engage in unethical conduct that would trap me into silence.

I will continue to zealously represent those members who are existing clients as their Internet attorney if they want but I will not be silenced by threats to my personal safety or my law practice because of Perry Belcher or any other reason.

Please note that the last person who tried this type of intimidation was indicted by the U.S. federal government, now has a criminal record, and owes the IRS about $750,000 in back taxes. If the personal threats and business interference continues, expect a similar response. Picking a fight with an Internet attorney borders on business suicide.

This summer I was contracted by a company to redo their marketing material. 3 weeks late the FTC came in and put this company with their 130 employees out of business.

I have personally seen the government officials lie to the public and in their court documents. Unfortunately, they have all the power. In the case that I witnessed this summer, they froze all the company assets and the owners personal assets.

When the defense attorney asked the FTC attorney to release funds for the owner to live (buy food, gas. make his house payment and mount a defense against the FTC claims) the response was (not an exact quote) “I don’t release any funds, that’s how I win my cases.”

Unfortunately for the owner of this company, it was a civil case so no attorney could be provided.

My point is, there could be truth to the Belcher claim, but one thing is sure, I don’t trust a word that comes out of the government’s mouth. (i.e. The FTC said that Jeff Paul didn’t disclose to people that they were signing up for a continuity program- yet it is all over their website which is still up on the Internet for everyone to see.)

While I also despise and do not trust bureaucrats of all colors…

I think the document speaks for it’s self…

Mr Belcher was accused, tried , convicted and seeing how He didn’t get any jail time, it appears he worked out a deal.. (got a plea agreement).

Now it’s up to Mr Belcher to do what he has to… Obey the LAW!

The question is…is there a case for Belcher violating the terms of his parole now for the claims he’s making in his social media program, get money from google and other crap junk he’s pushing with Deiss and through his affiliates?

  5. Miller says:

It seems to me that if you are an affiliate of Belcher, or enrolled in his coaching problem, then you have likely been reported to the TN Attorney General as a business associate or partner of his. Also where was all his cash? For the money he apparently ran through that business he sure didn’t have much of it laying around.

What’s the purpose of exposing ‘dirt’ on someone?
I don’t get it. Is there some point to this? I know
Michael. I heard Perry speak at the World Internet
Summit in Atlanta. Why expose something like
this? Whether its true or not, what’s the purpose?
Do we just want to make someone look bad? Are
we trying to start a fight or a war with someone?

      Michael,

Replied to your e-mail on the subject. Any additional information is already in the two prior blog posts linked above.

  7. How long is this going to go on- I think it’s time we all moved on from this Perry Belcher bashing.
If nothing else use Perrys experience as an example- I agree with Michael Murphy- what’s the point otherwise?

We all make mistakes- granted not quite as serious as Perry’s- but we learn from them and keep moving forward.

I’ve been in this crazy industry for many years and in my opinion there are many marketers out there ripping people off on a daily basis in a way that is much more disturbing then what Perry was charged for.

Give it a rest already. I know I’m not the only one sick of hearing about this.

    • Mike Young says:

      Rhonda,

If you’re sick of it, no one forced you to read it or write about it. Wouldn’t you agree?

The PDF of the criminal records resolves once and for all what happened. It isn’t a question of “Perry did this” or “Perry did not do that.” The criminal records speak for themselves.

And if you don’t want to read them, that’s fine. Coming here to post about it, seems kind of funny though.

I think it is interesting to see the documents. It seems the government seized over $1,000,000 from belcher plus assets and he forfeited these and then there is no fine.

So over 1 million in forfeitures doesn’t count as a fine?? WTF is that??

Anyway I appreciate that Mike is sharing this and I can understand Belcher and R Deiss not being happy about it.

I for one am glad someone is willing to make this public and be completely transparent.

That being said the I don’t trust the FTC and hardly any of the acronyms that come out of our government however what I do care about is:

    1. I heard that Belcher quit paying his affiliates, now that speaks to his character or lack thereof.
    2. That when he started making money again he didn’t go back and take care of old debts.

Although he might have been guilty of misrepresentation I heard from some that some of his products
    were effective.

The government is a bunch of Nazis when it comes to Alternative Medicine and whatever else they feel like terrorizing at their fancy.

So the question remains, does Belcher have a decent product to sell?
Does he honor his return policy?
is it a value for the money?

Can criminals not still live a life without harrassment?

Sorry for the length and thank you Mike for making this space and thank
those people who have commented here.

    Cheers,

    Charles

Let he/she without sin cast the first stone! In some ‘alleys’ of life some may never escape the traps that brought ‘em there in the first place. In other ‘alleys’ it is far better to learn from mistakes and move on provided you accept the fact that you’ve erred. Some of the best lessons learned in my own life have been the result of the finest school known to mankind – that is the school of true hard knocks wherein we learn from our mistakes thereby learning not to make the same. This allows us to teach others which for most is the best ‘avenue’ of learning how to stay out of the alleys.
I am pleased that the information is available for each person to arrive at their own discretion. I don’t give a rat’s a** if the glass is half full or half empty provided there is a drink to be had.

    Mike-

Just to clarify, I have found that the government agencies only speak with half truths (if even that much), but I find the information you have shared of immense relevance to me.

If we as Internet Marketers can know what the FTC and other such agencies are looking into, then that is information that I want.

When you are making little money, you have nothing to worry about. When you start to really tap into this worldwide distribution channel and make some serious money, you have to start covering yourself.

If Belcher doesn’t want the information to be shared then he was a fool for taking the deal and remaining a big entity in the IM community.

His best defense would be a good public relation offense. Tell the IM community his side of the story (he clearly knows how to work internet video).

Overcoming what he plead to doing is a hard action to spin, but if he’s any good at marketing, he could do it.

    • Mike Young says:

      Pete,

There’s been an offer on the table for Belcher to tell his side of the story but it was never accepted. The court records make it moot. They speak for themselves and readers can interpret as they see fit. Victim, villain, or something in between…that will be decided by the court of public opinion with the actual court documents to look at rather than conjecture or spin.

I really appreciate the work you and Salty do as well as a blake forum on bringing these issues to light for discussion since the internet marketing community is quite incestuous. What I find particularly interesting is your comment above…”Perry Belcher’s “partner” stupidly reached out to a group of major Internet marketers asking for help to shut me (and others) up on this issue. Pressure was applied to have certain group members either terminate representation by me as legal counsel or to engage in unethical conduct that would trap me into silence”

I’d certainly love to hear more of the details regarding that comment but I guess you’ve said all you want to say about it or you would told us the rest and understand client privacy.

I believe more needs to be done to bring to light this criminal’s closest supporters (aside from his partner Deiss ) who promote his continued “marketing” programs and efforts and pound their lists for him.

    • Mike Young says:

      Thanks, Vic, for your input.

Scamming is bad :: Silencing speech is evil :: Trying to silence a lawyer is just stupid. – Salty Droid

In this instance, they’ve tried to silence two lawyers (and others)…that would be attorneys who have hundreds of friends who are lawyers or are in law enforcement. I’ll hold my thoughts on what that means from a common sense standpoint.

If these guys (generic reference – no specific marketers named) would spend half the time cleaning up their business practices that they do going after Salty Droid’s identity, everyone would win because the products would deliver value and customers wouldn’t be deceived as part of the sales process.

      Will this happen soon?

Depends upon how many end up getting put out of business by the government or by lawsuits. The “it can’t happen to me” or “I got away with it before so I can do it again” attitude prevails for now in the biz opp pond.
