Student Discounted Microsoft Software Is No Bargain For Your Business
Microsoft (MSFT) is suing retailers of its software who are selling Windows and Office packages to the public that were discounted only for sale to students. So far, the suits seem targeted for copyright infringement against the retailers. However, it is likely that Microsoft will be sending nastygrams to purchasers identified through discovery during the litigation.
