Internet Lawyers: Do You Need One?

internet lawyers or janus? What are Internet lawyers? These are lawyers who focus primarily on representing clients for Internet legal matters. Just like a heart surgeon is a niche for being a doctor, an Internet lawyer is a niche within business law. Most business attorneys don’t practice Internet law the same as most doctors don’t perform heart surgery.

In other words, if you have an Internet legal question, the best thing to do is to contact an Internet lawyer.  A good Internet attorney will be able to help you protect your websites and grow your business online the right way with legal protections in place. This can include protecting your intellectual property rights (such as copyrights and trademarks), putting together Internet joint ventures, and at a minimum performing a website legal diagnostic so that you know what you need to have on your site.

Beware of a general business law firm that claims it can handle your Internet legal needs.  In many instances, you’ll be overpaying for an attorney to research something that a good Internet lawyer already knows.

A good way to see if there’s a good fit is to take a prospective client prequalification quiz.
