“How to Easily Stop Pirates

With A Free Tool

From Stealing Your Website Content…”

Dear Internet Entrepreneur:

Millions of people steal website content every day. They see some text, photos, or graphics that they like, copy the material, and use it on their own websites without permission.

But that’s not fair to you because you paid in time and money to put that unique content on your website. Why should someone else profit from your hard work?

Here’s the dirty little secret that Internet law firms won’t tell you. The majority of people who steal website content don’t know that they’re breaking the law by doing so.

Why? There’s a myth that all Internet content is (or should be) free. It is extremely common for new website owners to believe this lie. That’s why they “borrow” (steal) your stuff to create their own sites.

What’s the solution?

If you tell them that stealing your content is illegal (copyright infringement), you change their mindset. Suddenly, they know they’re not really “borrowing” from you. They’re pirates. Most honest people will stop right there and leave your intellectual property alone.

How do you let people know pirating your website content is a crime?

The expensive method is to retain an Internet lawyer after-the-fact to stop the theft. There are other less costly methods but each involves your time and money.

To help you deter website theft, I paid for a graphics designer to create this custom anti-piracy banner.

I’m giving you a revocable nontransferable license to post this banner on your websites and blogs by using the link below.

There’s only two strings attached:
  • Don’t link to this banner if you have illegal content on your website.
  • You understand and agree that using this banner doesn't make you a client of my Internet law firm.
Banner Instructions

Simple copy and paste this HTML code on your website pages where you want the banner to appear...

<img style="width: 190px; height: 50px;" alt="internet lawyer piracy" src="http://mikeyounglaw.com/internet-law-firm/internet-lawyer-piracy.png" />

If you’re using a WordPress blog, you can copy and paste the code into a Text Widget to insert in your blog’s sidebar.

It’s as simple as that. Almost everyone who sees the banner on your site won’t steal from you.

Does this guarantee you’ll never be pirated? Of course not. There are a few rotten apples out there who knowingly steal stuff. If it ever happens too you, talk with your Internet attorney about how to make the pirate pay.

To your success!

-Mike
