The University of Maastricht just gave a doctorate to a student whose thesis, “Intimate Relationships with Artificial Partners,” contends that humans and robots will one day marry each other.
Hard to believe that academic eggheads would think it was a concept worthy of a doctoral degree. I’d have awarded the student the complete works of Isaac Asimov and a DVD set of Star Trek TOS.
